CommTrack Pty Ltd (ABN 46 694 019 782) (“CommTrack”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of the people and organisations that use our websites and software. This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use client business data for any purpose other than providing the service.
Information entered into the CommTrack application by a client organisation (such as shipment, sales and settlement records) is held on behalf of that organisation, which remains its owner. Access is restricted to authorised users of that organisation. We access client business data only as required to provide support, maintain the service, or as directed by the client.
CommTrack data is hosted in Australia. Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is partitioned per organisation at the database layer, and changes to sensitive records are written to an immutable audit journal. We retain backups for service continuity and apply the safeguards reasonable for commercially sensitive financial information.
We may disclose personal information to service providers who help us operate our websites and application (such as hosting and email providers), on terms consistent with this policy, or where disclosure is required or authorised by law. Some service providers may process limited technical data outside Australia; where this occurs we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
Our websites use only the cookies and similar technologies necessary to operate the site and application (such as session and security tokens). If we adopt analytics tools, this policy will be updated to describe them.
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable period.
If you believe we have breached the APPs, please contact us first so we can investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
